John Deere 5125R

Launched in 2018, the John Deere 5125R is a utility tractor designed to combine power, comfort and fuel efficiency. Part of the John Deere 5R series, this versatile tractor is at home pulling attachments in the fields, performing yard work or completing road transport tasks. And, of course, it comes in John Deere’s iconic green and yellow paintwork.

Its John Deere 4.5-litre, four-cylinder engine was constructed at the manufacturer’s specialist facility in Savan, France. The ingenious frame design means the engine does not serve a structural purpose, which reduces the load and stresses placed on it. Providing a gross output of 125 hp (max. 135 hp with TPM boost), it can reach a top speed of 40 kph.

The JD 5125R has a relatively streamlined wheelbase of 225 cm, making it an exceptionally manoeuvrable tractor and ideally suited to navigating narrow barns, yards and country lanes. Nevertheless, with a maximum lifting capacity of 2753 kg (rear) and 2854 kg (front), it is more than capable of performing a range of demanding farmyard tasks.

Inside the cab, air-conditioning is provided as standard with optional upgrades, including a panoramic glass roof and upgraded cab suspension. All controls are ergonomically positioned within easy reach and the steering wheel is fully adjustable for maximum comfort. Additionally, curved rear glass panels ensure excellent visibility over attachments and when reversing.

Notably, the John Deere 5125R was nominated in the Best Utility category at the Tractor of the Year awards at Agritechnica 2017.
